I’m having a big clear-out, so up for grabs is a 2021 Status S2 Classic 5-string, in pristine condition.

I bought it last year from the original owner, who received it from Status at the tail end of the pandemic, and thinking he wasn't going to get out to play it, put it straight into storage! So it’s had very few playing hours, and is completely unmarked - pretty much as fresh as the day it left Colchester. As lovely as it is, I just find myself gravitating back to my extra-long scale Laklands, so I’ve decided to move it on. As you may know, Status are now back in limited production, but Rob isn’t working with carbon graphite anymore, so these basses are only going to become harder to come by, especially in near-new condition like this one. Mahogany wings, walnut tone block, flame maple top with a black pinstripe, bolt-on neck with blue neck-edge LEDs, Gotoh 350 tuners, 18mm bridge spacing, 4.1kg.

Comes complete with a Status-branded Hiscox case and the original paperwork.

Collection is preferred from near Woking in Surrey (GU23), but I can ship within the UK at the buyer's risk. It's also up for sale elsewhere.
