Looking for trade with a 5 string Jazz bass of either equal second hand price level or possible additonal value balance by me.

Indonesian TRB1005, not that it need to be ashamed of that, remarkable quality in this price level which to many would be all they really need.
One of these slightly anonymous Do It All instruments that gets the job done with an even and very well balanced sound.

35" scale, 4 kg, fretboard radius around 23 5/8” (600 mm), string spacing bridge 18mm, saddle width B to G (center to center) 36 mm.

Not sure of bodywood, likely alder/basewood given the round tone character of the bass, with facing of  quilted maple, maple neck with stringers of likely mahogany and rosewood fretboard.

Noiseless 3 band eq with volume and pan. Possible to tweak pre-amp by potmeters on the circuit board inside the cavity.

Battery held in place by stiff plastic cover, works as well as the original hinged lid.

Shipping from Denmark which is normally 25-50 € depending on location in Europe.
Direct sale obvious possible as well.

Regards
Thomas

Exactly!

If only instruments were of this quality in the “lower to mid” level when I started paying a trillion years ago,

a lot of fustrations would have been avoided 🙂

I just want to try a 5 string Jazz with a retrofitted Lutishand filter/pre-amp. Don`t want to mess up the Yamaha for this.

These are great basses. Solid all the way. There is a neat trick you can do with them. Turning the neck pickup 180° will get you a great Marcus Miller Jazz Bass tone. The cable is long enough to pull it off. Been playing with this modification for years now. It's great and completely reversable.
