kodiakblair Posted November 12 Posted November 12 What always gets me is I'd known about his 'Super Yob' guitars for a year to 18 months, had posted photos on a few forums, before I found out he was just up the road 😀 Quote

BassApprentice Posted November 12 Posted November 12 I know these things are very much down to specs and materials, but what sort of price range does he sit in? If I were to commission a bass, being able to support a local guy would be handy! Quote

Shaggy Posted December 21 Posted December 21 Really impressive! I'd love to have a bespoke custom bass made, sadly unlikely to happen, but on the plus side I've enjoyed having owned many lovely vintage basses (including 3 Wals) before prices went totally bananas 🍌 and out of the reach of the ordinary player Shouldn't this thread be in "Build diaries" though? cocco Posted December 21 Posted December 21 This looks amazing. Very excited to see the end result. Quote

JG Custom, leather scratchplate so one of the first 50 Wal built. £250 cash and a beat to blazes Gibson SG. Later took £50 for the SG due to being on the bones of ma arse 😃 I've no wish to see the early 90's return 🤣 Quote

I'm equal parts grateful for having the Wal and finding somebody with spare cash. Getting shot of it meant month's deposit for rented flat, that put an end to couch surfing and sleeping rough. 3 Quote
