Stu-khag
my friend is currently going through some financial dificulties so I am selling some gear on his behalf. This is a Fender Highway one US jazz bass. looking up the serial number its from 2007, with Badass II bridge. it says :- HWY1 J BASS UPGRD RW FLT BLK From reading online, its possibly got a graphite reinforced neck? I dont know how to check if this is the case. I did ask on the wozit werth section for a value but no replies, by all means make a sensible offer and I can relay that to him. It was bought by mate from a local gigging band and was played extensively with them for a few years, he then bought it and it stayed in his studio. I've recorded two albums with this bass and have always enjoyed playing it. I already own two jazz basses and not gigging so have no need for it. I could probably try to get some sound files recorded though if interested, look up Truckers of Husk Physical Education EP or Dharma Violets on spotify. The satin finish is worn to a gloss look in parts and it has numerous gigging dings. I bet it wouldnt take much playing to become a real road worn bass considering its a nitro finish. Unfortunately he left the bass on a cheap guitar stand for a while so on the back (pictured) the nitro finish has reacted and melted a bit below the neck plate. Its all original apart from scratch plate, he is on the search for it though I think he paid quite a bit for the tort plate. No case- I dont believe they ever did come with one though I may have a soft case sitting somewhere in the attic. Location- currently its in Bridgend. my mate is in between accomodation (sofa surfing) and is spending his time between North Wales and the Devon area so could arrange some sort of pick up from this area. Ideally it would be collected or can meet somewhere though I can look into postage. (not something I have ever done with an instrument) Pics wise below- by all means ask for more detailed ones if interested.
