I've recently received a new Finally V3 and love it, but the first time I used it in anger at performance volume today (I'd only set it up beforehand) there was a lot of noise which seemed to be coming from the physical pedalboard chassis - i.e. when you stepped on a pedal the clunk seemed to reverberate through the board. It seems linked to the Finally as when bypassed it was fine, all the connections are good and didn't happen before it was on the board. My stock tube was really microphonic so that the sound of tapping on the chassis would be amplified. 1 Quote
Kev Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Could that be an indication the tube is microphonic? Try opening up the finally when it's on and connected to an amp and gently tap the tube, see what kind of sound it sends through the amp, if any. 1 Quote

Ah, that sounds like the same issue then. 12 hours ago, Kev said: Could that be an indication the tube is microphonic? Don’t even need to open it up, just tapping the pedal (or even the board) makes a clunking noise. Quote

Gypsyfolk Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I’m thinking of getting one, but the power supply requirements seem to be large. What are you guys using for it? Quote
Kev Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Cioks DC7 puts out more than enough for any Sushi pedal. Worth noting though, you may get away with a lower ma supply than Nathan states. His pedals have a current draw that's a good 40% more during warm up, once warmed up the draw drops off, so you'd probably get away with it if you don't mind it being a bit iffy when first turned on. There's plenty of chat about it in the T**k***s thread. 1 Quote

It turns out it wasn't the tube, apparently there was an issue with a couple of the pedals where the HPF became microphonic. Nathan was great to deal with, and I have a replacement which hopefully doesn't go the same way! Love the sound of the pedal though, adds so much richness. 2 Quote

I need to get back in touch with him. Are you talking about the Grand Slampegg still? (Asking as I think you were talking about the Finally.) Quote
