TheGreek Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Hope that nobody has paid for tickets for this "event "... I rang the venue earlier to clarify what is happening ‐ Magazine do NOT have the event in their calendar. More updates as we learn more. 1 Quote
Merton Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Eeeek! Gladly not affected but hope no one is! It might be worth merging with this thread? Quote
TheGreek Posted November 20, 2024 Author Posted November 20, 2024 I've spoken to Mark at Bass Direct and Mark Gooday at Ashdown regarding this "event". Organisers haven't heard of Bass Direct apparently and Mark Gooday hasn't received any sort of invitation even though he manufactures Bass amplifiers. Questionable at best. 1 Quote
Woodwind Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 What a niche event to use to fleece people. I wonder how many other niche events have been set to "take place" at a similar date or venue and it's just one bunch of scammers casting their net wide. Quote
iamtheelvy Posted Saturday at 15:56 Posted Saturday at 15:56 Hey, we’ve moved again… Now Queen Victoria Street somewhere (no given address)… Quote

Where will Bass Day 25 take place? The event will be held near St Paul's Cathedral in the Heart of London at the CLS Conference Centre, 107 Queen Victoria St, City of London, London EC4V 3AL, UK. ..." This is the City Of London School. They have various rooms for hire listed on their website, one being a modest conference room, but there is no "conference centre" to speak of. Quote
