Yorkshire Bottom End
I'm getting my whole rig sorted for a tour and wondered if there are any decent 9V adaptors with a thicker cable (like a kettle lead) available. My power brick for my pedalboard runs off one as does my little Boss amp. I always think those skinny wee things will break anytime soon
BigRedX
Best practice would be to bring the PSU onto the pedal board so all the low-voltage cables can be firmly fixed in place where there is much less chance of the being damaged and then run a nice chunky mains lead to the board. tauzero
I cable tie a DC power cable extension lead to a jack-jack lead and run the two between the pedalboard and the amp, and keep the adaptor behind the amp. Also, never wrap the lead from the adaptor round the adaptor, wrap it into a loop and secure it with a velcro cable tie. But BRX's method, or using a power supply that has a mains input, would be the best way if you have the room and/or the budget.
