Sad passing of Dov65

Please remove if not appropriate, but I have just read the sad news of the passing of fellow bc member Dov65. 
I’m sure some of us have spoken to or done deals with him over the years, and I personally have found him to be a very generous, kind, and funny bloke and will miss him greatly. 
I just thought I’d let everyone know who isn’t connected to him via other means.

Oh no, this is so sad, I used to chat with Dave quite a bit by PM and we would send each other strings and all kinds of various stuff , truly a generous and thoughtful guy, I’m gutted 😞 , condolences to the family

I'm sad to hear this news.

 

Dave was very generous to me at a time when I was low.  In addition he was an understanding soul who made me feel that I was not alone.

 

My sympathy goes to his family and close friends.  Rest in peace Dave.

Dave aka @Dov65 and I were the same age, 59 years old is no age to go to sleep forever.

 

I know, I'm repeating myself, but that's quite a shock.

 

And he was such a nice person. 😢

Oh man... this is sad news. I bought a Spector from Dave a few years ago - being opposite ends of the country worried me a bit, which I explained to Dave. He gave me his number to have a chat and he offered to send me the bass to see if I liked it before deciding if I wanted to buy it. A 2 grand bass.

 

Needless to say I bought the bass, but I've never forgotten what a generous and kind gesture that was. Dave was a credit to our community and he will be missed.

I am genuinely shocked to have just read this. I was looking for Dave on the site as I just  messaged him as I sold him a Spector bass a few years ago and

 

wanted to know how he was getting on with it.

 

I put in a search and found this thread.

 

I met him when we did the deal and what a nice, decent guy. I am gutted. 😢
