fretmeister Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Anyone know what colour this is? I can't quite find an actual match and I really like it. Quote
BassAgent Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I think it used to be Sherwood Green. 2 Quote

Looks like a Custom Shop reliced version of Ocean Turquoise Metallic, although they did do some that were described as "7-Up Green Metallic" but I'm blowed if I can remember which players those particular ones were for. Gorgeous colour, whatever it is 👍 1 Quote
fretmeister Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 Other than Sea Foam Green I've never been one for green basses but that is just lovely. I don't know who the guy playing is, I just saw the post on social media. Quote

fretmeister Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 That does look very close. Nice! Quote
franzbassist Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Yes, nicely aged OTM finish. They did a FSR run of these a few years back. 1 Quote
LeftyJ Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 (edited) OTM was a standard finish option for several MIJ Fender basses for years. It's a shame they don't use it more, it's so tasty! I'm with @BassAgent though. When I Google aged OTM most results have a more blueish hue. I think it might very well be an aged sherwood green finish. The Fender Custom Shop do a finish they call "faded aged sherwood green" which looks like this: Edited November 19, 2024 by LeftyJ 2 Quote
JJMotown Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Looks like a bitsa. Body something like this... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193779194012?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&ff=11&customid=EAIaIQobChMI1bXgp_PoiQMVG5RQBh2gBgT1EAQYAyABEgKQYfD_BwE Quote
LeftyJ Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Hold on, Fender do a faded aged sage green too. Getting closer! Quote
Reggaebass Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Could be Sherwood as it fades with time but I’m thinking that’s a custom colour, maybe Foam green Quote
BassAgent Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I'm sticking with sherwood. If you google aged sherwood it looks exactly like this. Quote
JoeS Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 His name is Kaveh Rastegar: The bass is an original 1964 Precision, finish is apparently Ocean Turquoise Metallic but a quick Google suggests that was only introduced in 1965 so… who knows 🤷 2 Quote
Bolo Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 It's white and gold! Or was it blue/black? 4 Quote
