Zombie thread revivals?

Question

IIRC threads dormant for over a year - excepting Feedback threads and some others - were meant to be automatically deleted to save server space (or something)?

As there are often threads revived, whose last post was years ago, I assume BC now has more server space than it knows what to do with?

It would be a shame to lose old threads if it's not necessary, they can often be useful references. I've found a few answers to things I wanted to know in threads which have been dormant for ten years or more.

Old threads still give the site visibility via search engine hits, even if the membership isn't interested in them.  It's why we keep the classifieds visible too.

I Googled a question about something bass related and the first result was a Basschat thread that I started! 😆

No, not threads, Adverts that were open and had had no activity for over a year were, but I haven't got round to it!
