Replacing Sadowsky EQ with EMG?

Apologies in advance for the stupid question, but can you completely remove a Sadowsky metro express EQ and pickups and replace with an active EMG P/J set as sold in most stores? I'm assuming this is completely possible but not commonly done?

You can replace pickups, or preamp, or both.

Yes, but check pickup dimensions before you buy, not all pickups (especially J bass pickups) are the same size.
