Some of my favourite books

I picked up some educational books in a trade the other week 

 

It got me thinking how useful some books have been for me. I think I got the Jamerson book in 1992(?) it arrived with cassettes not CD’s!!

That Jamerson book is great for learning to read 16ths.

I've had good luck with an older playing guide from Chuck Rainey that shows up in used book bins pretty regularly: The Complete Electric Bass Player Series. There are five volumes total.

The Chuck Sher and Rufus Reid books are awesome. Not trendy and thus probably not popular but a lifetime of learning in them.
