The pick-up's were hand wound by now retired Fender employee Abigail Ybarra and man are they lively. A P bass with a J neck is not to everyone's taste and sacrilege to some, but to me, it's just perfection.) what kind of bridge does it have? BBOT or Badass II

I'm looking at paint from Custom Paints Ltd. So far they've been very helpful in choosing the colours after I sent them pictures of the AC basses that I want to replicate

warwickhunt Posted Tuesday at 10:48 Share Posted Tuesday at 10:48 Parallels... Since joining an INXS tribute, I've been rehearsing with a P bass (used a lot by Garry GB) but after seeing an INXS promo with him playing a Warwick Streamer I decided to take mine along. The lads all unanimously agreed it actually nailed the bass tone better than the P bass (despite trying to EQ the P bass to match). As a result I may end up using a style of bass in a tribute that the bassist may only have used for one album or tour!

Think every time I`ve seen their concerts on TV he`s played a Precision, strange how things work out isn`t it?

Yep, P bass on 80% of everything I've watched; the odd J bass or something esoteric from the 80's period. I just happened to notice a Streamer bass on one live gig so I thought I'd see how it sounded in a rehearsal and it (Stage I on the P pup solo) popped the P bass on steroids tone and the rest of the band immediately said 'Play that one!'. Aesthetically, a purist INXS fan (likely also a bassist) might think a Warwick is not the 'right' bass but he dicked around with lots of other stuff (just like A Clayton really). I suppose it has to look AND sound right.
