Owen Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 (edited) I have a bunch of books I have been saving for the right occasion. I was going to split the books, mount the prints in frames and hang them on the wall. Anyway, back to reality. All + whatever the postage will be. I will trust you to top up that payment once I have actually posted them California Cool - a paperback coffee table kind of thing (PCTKOT) which catalogues a bunch of hip LP covers from the 50s. Full sized £12 The Cover Art of Blue Note Records - PCTKOT which catalogues a bunch of hip LP covers from the 50s. Smaller £8 The Complete Electric Bass Player by Chuck Rainey £10 The Sound I Saw - photo book of some stonking pictures in black & white (SSPIB&W) of jazz vibes from the olden days (FTOD) £20 The Jazz Bass Book by John Goldsby. With CD - cos everyone wants a CD £12 Guitar Player Repair Guide - Dan Erlewine £8 Sold The Real Book Vol 2 in our favourite clef. Bass. £17 Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass. £30 Bass Line - The stories and photographs of Milt Hinton - I heartily recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in jazz. It is his story, told by him and documented in pictures by him. It really does not get any closer than this. PCTKOT - SSPIB&W - FTOD £25 Over Time - The Jazz photographs of Milt Hinton. He was there, he had a camera. As close as it gets - kind of a 2nd volume from the one above. . PCTKOT - SSPIB&W - FTOD £11 The Jazz Theory Book - Mark Levine. I was going to read this and achieve Jazz World DOMINATION. You can guess the rest - £25 Sold Edited December 3, 2024 by Owen 2 Quote
Quatschmacher Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 The Levine book is absolutely brilliant. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to understand jazz harmony. It’s such a clear and well-laid-out book. 2 Quote
