I have a bunch of books I have been saving for the right occasion. I was going to split the books, mount the prints in frames and hang them on the wall.

Bass Line - The stories and photographs of Milt Hinton - I heartily recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in jazz. It is his story, told by him and documented in pictures by him. It really does not get any closer than this. PCTKOT - SSPIB&W - FTOD £25

The Levine book is absolutely brilliant. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to understand jazz harmony. It’s such a clear and well-laid-out book.
