Hellzero Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 I use the Boss Waza Air Bass headphones, quite amazing cans for bass, pricey for sure, but worth every penny. Quote
zonular Posted December 16, 2024 Author Posted December 16, 2024 Alright so my zoom is still going after taking it apart and a rejig! In the meantime I picked up a focusrite interface, this is a while new world!! The free stuff sounds great 1 Quote
eude Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 I use a Nux Mighty Plug most of the time, but when I need a bit more, without making more noise, I have my Boss ME-90B multi effects, or, when using my BIG board, I popped a Mooer Audiofile on there, which has a headphone amp and a cab sim, which lets me use the whole board without making too much noise. PaulWarning Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 there was a similar thread not long ago, I replied I've got a laptop, use a Behringer UM2 audio interface, load any song into the audacity app (free) you can slow it down or change key, if required, then play along using headphones Quote
Shockwave Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Sorry for the lack of updates gents. The decision was made for me, my partner got fed up of me procrastinating about it and she went out and got me a Blackstar Bass Amplug2. It actually sounds pretty great out of the box, does what I need and does the trick for now! Thank you all for your input 🙂 3 Quote
bnt Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I go direct out of the ToneX One in to headphones some times, when I have the pedalboard on a table or something. Other times I plug it in to the dongle for my "TV Headphones", which takes a 3.5mm headphone cable and sends the out signal wirelessly. Latency is very low though not zero, and I think conpression does affect the sound slightly. It's a slightly older version of this model. Quote
Baloney Balderdash Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Not what I personally use. But I would still recommend the Two Notes Opus, as a one unit amp + cab emulator/simulator. Quote
MrDinsdale Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Totally forgot about my Boss Katana:Go! Its pretty great, perfect for noodling or playing along to stuff while the child is distracted and I get a few mins. Shame it got discontinued after the 1st batch pretty much due to supply chain issues. It does make me sad that its even more unlikely to receive future quality of life improvements too, not that Boss are well known for high software update cadence. Quote
ProjeKtWEREWOLF Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 At home: Amplitube 4 on my Mac, through an audio interface and some Shure headphones Not at home: same headphones but Laney Digbeth dB-pre pedal as a headphone amp. Sometimes my Zoom B1ON comes with me for a trip. Quote
BigRedX Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Bass > Line6 Helix > Mac running Logic > Denon Amp > Sennheiser headphones. This used for writing and practicing the songs my band plays. IMO there is little point "practicing" without using the correct sounds/effects on my bass, and without playing along to the programmed drums and synths we have as our backing, hence the set up. ped Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Bass-backbeat-pedalboard-VB99(usb interface)-Mac-GK200-Bassboard with Beyer DT770s from the VB99. This way I get haptic feedback from the backbeat and, if I want it, the bassboard which gives a really ‘live’ feel, and of course perfect sound from the cans. I play this way 90% of the time; I never use an amp at home. Quote
tayste_2000 Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 Beyer DT990 when using my Cranborne Camden, else Z10s with my Boss Katana Go Quote
JPJ Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 On my desk I have the Behringer UMC202 2 channel interface which runs into GarageBand on my MacBook Pro and out through either KRK Rokit 5’s or Beyer DT770 headphones. For portability I have the iRig HD interface plugged jnto my iPad running Amplitude out into either Sennheiser IEM’s or the Beyer DT770’s. Quote
zonular Posted December 31, 2024 Author Posted December 31, 2024 Just an update, that focusrite is probably one of the best purchases I've made. 1 Quote
