Stentor Arcadia 3/4 Double Bass £2000 South West

Here’s my Stentor Arcadia Double bass, bought in around 2015, subsequently well gigged and played, but sadly not seeing much action over the last 3-4 years. This is Stentors top of the line bar one and I was fortunate enough to go and play and compare a few. This was the best in their warehouse and I was drawn in by its amazing flame - it’s really gorgeous!

 

Fully setup and refined by Peter Tyler (author of All About the Double Bass) who  removed the pre-applied gunk from the fretboard and revealed a great piece of ebony and a very playable action. I have a suspicion he also may have replaced the tuners, but it was a while ago. Overall, it’s been the perfect playable resonant instrument to play. A joy! 
 

Comes with a gig bag, and I’m happy to leave the Shadow pickup on board so it’s ready to gig. If I can find my Thomann condenser mic I’ll include that too (I found the combo of both the most refined way of amplifying the instrument live without crazy expense!). It’s also strung with thomastiks I believe. 

Selling as I’ll soon be heading to the US with my wife, to Nashville to carry on my music production dream and journey.  

 

I’m not confident shipping this, but happy to meet up or have this collected. Can be collected/tried form either BA14 or RG17.
