I know, but you'd be surprised sometimes - I have a friend whose name is Saara. She told me a story that one time she spelled her name out to some customer service type over the phone and they asked her if she was sure that's how it's spelled! Her own effing name! Still makes me chuckle when I think about it to this day. Quote

It just looks messy, like they never really thought through what they were trying to achieve and bodged a solution from the parts bin. Or just have an angled neck and not have to mess about with string trees at all! 2 Quote
Twigman Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I just love my favourite bass. The headstock is so small and perfectly formed....and the fact it is painted to match the body is the icing on the cake. 2 Quote

police squad Posted January 9 Posted January 9 For me, I'm really digging the warwick buzzard headstock Seen here on my reverso 1 Quote

OliverBlackman Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Has to be one of these, it’s just iconic. Not a fan of the other bass specific shape they did though! 1 Quote

mike f Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Warwick (4 string) is my favourite, especially the older ones with the more rounded edges. An old Fender headstock feels like home, love them too. Always liked the Tobias headstocks (anybody got a picture?). And the Jaydee on here is just so classy. Quote

Mine goes out of tune if you look at it funny. Actually, mine's a Longhorn (!) so not quite the same bass 😁 Quote

I do want the 4 saddle bridges…going to talk to JHS (UK distributor) at the Birmingham show in March. Might be getting a 3rd one soon if a trade comes off. Quote
michael2003x Posted Friday at 10:09 Posted Friday at 10:09 I love my Epi Thunderbird VP with the lightweight Gotoh tuners with the longer stems, it takes that insane headstock to a different level Quote
michael2003x Posted yesterday at 11:31 Posted yesterday at 11:31 Here is my Epi TB VP with long stemmed lightweight Gotoh tuners & my 60s parts-caster with the biggest ears I could find Quote
paul_5 Posted yesterday at 13:00 Posted yesterday at 13:00 My favourites have always been the Wal 4 strings, a bit clunky for some tastes, but that’s just me. Their 5 and 6 strings are exactly the opposite; too much of a departure for me I think. Warwicks have a similar aesthetic, so I’m quite fond of those and they have the added bonus of ergonomic tuner layout which I like. They’re like an ‘MDP’ but good! 1 Quote
