cetera
So, finances allowing..... in 2025 what bits of gear are on your GAS wish list? Me? I'd like: Epiphone Grabber (if/when they drop to a sensible price) - not sure on natural or black though.... Epiphone G3 (possibly......dependent on price when they're finally released) Squier 40th Anniversary P bass (black and gold with block inlays) LFSys Monaco 1x12 cab Edited December 3 by cetera additional GAS item

Jackroadkill
A nice 4ohm cabinet to go with my Elf. A small, lightweight but poky cab with a tight bottom end, please.
Twigman
Still umming and aahing about a wireless system - current top of the list is the Shure GLXD16+ Price was £458 hence the umming and aahing - was waiting to see if anywhere discounted on 'Black Friday' - I notice Andertons had a big red sale banner on the item early last week and had reduced the price to £458! - now there is a black Black Friday 'sticker' on the item with the price reduced to £458! Such savings shouldn't be sniffed at.... Still umming and aahing Edited December 2 by Twigman
gjones
I'm hoping to grab a black, sparkly, Sire Z3 when some random Basschatter, who grabbed one when they first came out, gets bored with it and decides to flog it.
Reggaebass
I’ve got a bit of gas for a barefaced two 10s just to see how it sounds with my Ampeg amp ,and I think I might try out some 65/66 precisions again in the new year to see if I can get on with the wider nut
chris_b
I'm still looking for my unicorn bass. Must sound better than my Sadowsky and weigh less than 3.5 kg.
tauzero
I'm rather short of headless fretless basses, so a headless fretless 5-string Sei Flamboyant would be nice. Toying with the idea of replacing my GR Bass AT800 with an AT212V to use with the Tecamp Puma.
Doctor J
I'd like to get my hands on a Vigier Passion IV, for the craic.
Norris
I can't help feeling that I need some midi foot pedals to control my Novation Bass Station 2, even though I really don't need them Stylophone theremin. Must have one I'm actually ok for basses. I'd rather get back to building them rather than buying
Linus27
Unless things take a dramatic turn, I can see my 2025 GAS list being quite small. I'm very happy with my fretless basses and can't really see the need to get anything else or improve on what I have. I'm also very happy with my pedals but there are some I'd still like to try which are, Strymon Cloudburst MXR Script 90 Phaser I do have a bit of a love/hate relationship with my MarkBass LM IV and Barefaced Two10 rig. Some days I'm super happy with it and other days not. I'm actually really tempted to get a Fender Rumble 800 combo as every time I played through one, its sounded mega. So we shall see. binky_bass
Would love to have @Cosmicrain make me a 6 string Zoot of some variety. Been threatening to properly discuss one for years, never found the right financial time to do so yet! Maybe 2025 is the year...
BassBiscuit
'GAS' you say....! Well gonna get me some 'therapy' to help with my affliction..... Might cure me of looking at stuff I don't need.......🙄
Dood
Finances definitely don’t allow and probably won’t for many years now sadly, but: I have a bass and a guitar that need routs for new pickups One bass that needs routing and I want to refinish it in my “signature colours” .. flip paint, you know me! Another bass that I’d love to customise with a new finish.. flip paint! Two basses that need refrets/dressing. A pick guard designed for a bass. A new neck for my Tokai maybe.. I want a Candy Apple Red / Candy Cola body or respray for my Strat. For gig tools, I’d love an active FRFR solution, the ole Barefaced FR800 would suit for guitar and bass needs I think, but I might be looking at a combo or PA cab. Failing that I could use a passive 1x12” with my Berg head when my big cab is OTT. I’d love to get a custom PJ bass made, I seem to be playing way more 4 strings at the moment and something for the bass magazine to use in every review would be super cool. I quite fancy a little guitar valve combo too, like a Laney LC for tinkering around with..

Lozz196
I’ve a lot of gear to sell but I’m thinking of getting a bass specifically made for me, essentially the Mustang bass that Fender don’t make: Black Slim Jazz width neck (same dimensions as my CIJ) Maple fretboard Hipshot Ultralites inc D-Tuner P & J pickups Vol, Vol, Tone 7.0lbs Edited December 2 by Lozz196

joel406
Gas? 2025? Hmmmm... Maybe a Fender USA 5 string Jazz? No, I got 4 of those. Maybe a Fender USA 5 string Precision? No. I got 4 of those too. Maybe the new Squier 6 string? Wait... Got one. Maybe a G&L USA L-2500? No got one. May be a USA G&L M-2500? Got it so, no. How about a G&L M-2500 tribute? Never mind. Got one. Maybe a new amp. No got 2 Mesa Subway D-800+ heads and a custom built Epifani UL901. That's out. Speaker cab? 2 Subway 212 cabs and 2 Subway 410 cabs in house already. So, No! New pedal? Let's see. 2 Quadcortexs. Pog 2 and Pog 3. Keely compressors. EBS envelope filter, check. Chorusaurus. CABM. Revolt. Le Bass. I could go on so, No! Wireless system? Shure SLXD. PSM 300 for the IEMs. No set there. 2025 looking gas free here. Edited December 2 by joel406
snorkie635
Maybe track down a CAR Roscoe Beck V, or failing that, nab an orange Bongo V?

Still got some stuff left that I won’t be needing due to the reduction in my gigging schedule, so need to address what to let go & then that should be me done. But it doesn’t stop me wondering…….. ardi100
My first 5 string. Something cheap, humbucker(s) and a maple fretboard, only because that seems to be the opposite of what I do have. Some way of scratching the synth sound itch I can't seem to shake. Either a cheap series of pedals, a SA C4 or a quality multi unit that I could build some presets with. And a one cab solution. Even though I'm only playing in my house!

But I have a new ACG incoming sometime in Q1 which I need to pay for before I even start thinking about anything else! And bonding with that should take priority for 2025 🙂
