Deadmau5 XYZ bass sound

Could anyone tell me if there's a pedal or combination of which could get that dirty static-y fuzz sound at the beginning of this track using a bass?

 

Kicks in at 52 seconds and gives me goosebumps...

I can get close with the voice b of the synthonizer algorithm on a H9. I think a C4 or FI would be able to get there to- I recognise the sound and don't think it's that complex
