Mudpup
I'm playing my last ever gig tonight and I'm having a moochy morning - a bit of tea and toast, a lie in watching You Tube on the laptop and then shortly I'll restring the bass and get prepped for what looks like to be a cracking final apearance in Southend, Essex And then I found this lot.... what tha actual f### have I been missing! Flat out funk, the tightest band I think I have ever seen having a total blast playing together and a monster of a bass player with a killer sound on every video you'll ever see of them (someone at Sire needs to sign him up btw...) It either wants to make you give up completely or keep on playing - I'm not sure which yet. Oh and they played up the road from me a few days ago. Aargh! Anyone else like them? 5

gjones
High Fade come from Edinburgh and have been playing pubs here for a year or two. They also used to busk in the middle of the town during the Summer. Recently they've been touring around the UK and also the USA. They are incredibly proficient musicians and tight as a ducks arse. I hope they get the success they deserve. I think the bassist plays a Sire.
Lozz196
Not my sort of thing but no denying how tight they are. And the bass sound is awesome.
Elfrasho
Incredibly tight and a superb sound but extremely repetitive.

I think maybe funk is fairly repetitive in general? It's hitting a groove and seeing where it goes a lot of the time. Some of their songs take a huge left turn in timing in the middle bits but there's a lot of material to go through to find them. They remind me of a lighter version of Stevie Salas Colorcode which was a band I used to like a long time ago. Skybone
My son was raving about them after they played a local festival (Belladrum). He managed to speak to the drummer, who was a seriously decent bloke, and a good laugh, apparently. Made his day when the drummer gave him a signed stick (my son's a drummer). Their set was featured on the BBC Scotland footage of Belladrum if you have access to BBC Scotland content on iPlayer.
Bassassin
If only they were an instrumental band. The 'vocals' make me want to stab myself in the ears.

Alexx
I sawing them play in Manchester earlier this year, they were great fun and nice blokes. Worth seeing live, was a real buzz.
