Duroc17
Had a search through the forum I'm sure this been covered but for about 2 songs i use a Bass Clone and even with crossover and bass turned up it sucks the tone out and makes it sound like volume drop - to my ears maybe it's just not suitable to the 80s indie we're doing? So looking for a lightish (in colour) chorus - thats not too extreme but that can add to tone/even boost that doesnt drag the ass out of the b-ass got about £120 that'll spend - even considering completely not using it but recommendations sought. Been looking at the Ampeg Liquifier and Walrus Audio Fundamental chorus one with the faders - which seems like just the ticket but what say you - i'm not spedning £200 on a pedal i dont really use that much so got to be within budget
Gareth Hughes
MXR Analog Chorus, or an equally awesome but much cheaper option is the TC Electronic Afterglow. Both have righteous low end and no volume drop.

simonlittle
Definitely worth checking out the EBS Unichorus. Spent a long time searching for just the right chorus and that one was the favourite. Had mine for years now. There was one up for sale on here last week…

Had mine for longer than I can remember. Had to resolder the footswitch a while back, but that’s the only thing that has given me a problem over the years (probably, more accurately, decades).
Duroc17
The Unichorus has flanger too. Might be what I’m after. Thanks

Gank Bass
Over the years I've used a bass clone, ampeg liquifier, hartke bass chorus, TC Corona. Managed to get a great factory 2nd Jam pedals waterfall from their reverb store and that blew them all out the water! For a budget option anything with a blend should get decent results! Hope this helps 😊
paul_5
I love an EHX Small Clone, but that’s just me!

Linus27
I've gone through a lot of chorus pedals and really struggled to find one with a nice flavour that doesn't change the overall tone of the bass. The TC Corona was nice but super subtle and I just couldn't get it to be effective. The Bass Clone I liked but I found it changed the tone too much and I was constantly fiddles. I'm now running the EBS Unichorus and I like it but I'm still not convinced by it so I might move it on. I'm actually really tempted to try the Harley Benton Classic Chorus after seeing this video.

Jean-Luc Pickguard
I like the Boss CEB-3 bass chorus where you can apply the chorus to just the high frequencies without making the low end go warbly.

Providence Anadime does the same - that made a massive difference for me.
Bagman
certainly doesn't fit the budget but the Free The Tone Tri Avatar is the #1 Bass Chorus IMO
Boodang
TC Electronic SCF. Looks like Andertons have one on sale for £70. I’ve got the original and reissue, both awesome. Does subtle to extreme, the pitch mod mode is great. Edited December 15 by Boodang

For that price worth a go - heard they’re pretty noiseless - I only use chorus quite subtly- but there’s one song that uses a heavy flanger so be good to have options. Have ordered it from Anderson’s. Thanks for the tip dude
Boodang
A pleasure! SCF was the first pedal I ever bought, had one on the board ever since. Sort of pedal you keep and a bargain at that price.
itu
I bought my SCF in the early 90's, and it was already a second hand unit. Still going strong. The reason for low noise is that it has a compander circuitry in it: the input signal is compressed before the processing, and expanded after. Noise floor is super low. And everything is analog. The input is also special, because it can handle a raw piezo easily.

Been trying out the SCF this morning and yes - this is what i'm looking for - nice subtle chorus - noiseless and no level difference once i dialed in the level - flanger will be useable for me, even pitch might come in handy - thanks for the tip and link - rehearsals thursday but already on my board and gig on saturday - chorus was the only thing wasn't 100% with - was alright but not for me
