Offset (jag?) style bass body, northern ash, severely hacked about - £50 OBO posted UK - *SOLD* £50 London

Severely hacked about (I was obsessing over preamps) this is a lovely luthier made body. I think it's northern ash, so it is very dense and very heavy.

 

It was painted black, I sanded it and lightly refinished it with an oil based finish. This job was BY NO MEANS PERFECT but you could easily strip the finish and do a better job (did I say easily?!).

 

I filled the pick guard screw holes and the old bridge mounting holes, will fit a fender standard 5 hole.

 

Comes with a lovely red pick guard WHICH DOES NOT COVER THE HOLES I DRILLED.

 

Standard Fender size neck pocket - fits a fender/squire replacement neck.

 

For clarity: this body has really been hacked about and is best though of as a science experiment.

 

I put a Luistand double NFP pre in and a switch for a MM pickup (parallel, series, single). So would suit mad scientist. Or someone prepared to fill the holes and refinish it (black looked good with the red!)

Yeah I really did a number on it. 😝

 

I'm having to move studio so I'm clearing stuff out and would rather it go to someone than landfill!
