mathewsanchez Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Just stumbled across this on the fender site and thought i'd share. May not be to everyones taste but it offers a jazz profile neck on an acoustic bass, similar to the victor bailey acoutic bass but cheaper. Link to fender site here. And a link to where you can buy them here. There may be better acoustics on the market for less but i'm no authority to deliver that verdict as i've never owned one. Quote
Dom in Dorset Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I first got interested in acoustics about ten years ago, there weren't many around then and I tried as many as I could and found most of them dissapointing. The Fenders were head and shoulders above the rest, I'd certainly concider one if my Ibanez ever needs replacing. Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I used to think going back a few years ,that they all looked like that boring Fener (sorry) I was told by various people'you don't need an acoustic bass' etc. However, some really nice basses are out there now in terms of eye candy.. ..Dean Psycho Cabby, Takamine, Washburn , Charvel Surfcaster etc . I have a cheapo acoustic, but if I saw one of the above not too pricey I may go for one to round up yhe collection Quote
farmer61 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Probably just me, but I can't get past the Jazz headstock on an acoustic bass, I think it looks naff. Quote
