Very few "2" films are as good as the "1", and most are completely dreadful. I just hope it's a bit more Airplane and less Highlander in that respect. I do have a horrible feeling it's going to blight my favourite ever film though

Only found out recently that Christopher Guest is a Hereditary Peer! Yes, 'Nigel Tufnel' is actually the 5th Baron Haden-Guest. So there you go!

If there's anyone I trust to do a worthy sequel, it's these guys. They'd have called a halt if it didn't feel of the highest quality.

 

They have nothing to prove, and - as far as I'm aware - no alimony to pay.

Loved the first film but I can't imagine this will be much. 

I listened to an interview with Derek Smalls (Shearer stayed in character the whole time) on the Rockonteurs  recently. I didnt laugh once which was disappointing.

I probably won't even bother with the sequel. This is Spinal Tap has a special place in my heart, and I just don't think anyone involved is capable of making anything genuinely *good* or funny anymore.
