SH73 Posted Tuesday at 14:18 Share Posted Tuesday at 14:18 Can I connect ABY pedal to another ABY pedal or connect another ABY pedal to the existing chain. My bass is connected like this, bass goes into tech 21 then compressor then hartke pedal then EQ then to ABY pedal Y input. A signal from ABY pedal goes into Aural exciter channel 1 then output into amp 1 input. B signal from ABY pedal goes into Aural exciter channel 2 then output into amp 2 input. I want to hook up the third amp. Can I take the output two from Aural Exciter (which is the last pedal/rack in the chain) and plugged into a othe ABY pedal, then use A for amp two input and B for amp three input. The reason I initially use two amps is that I can blend the two amps together and get the Steve Harris sound. With the third amp I can add a bit more bottom end or mid depending which era I'm playing. As with my pedal chain, the combination of the pedals gives me different Maiden tone depends which song I play. Usually it's the tech 21 on its own through exciter. BabyBlueSound Posted Tuesday at 14:57 Share Posted Tuesday at 14:57 Wondering if anyone actually has two ABYs, I only got the one 😅 but that's a passive Startouch one and I have some slight signal bleeding between the channels. I assume that would be a lot worse with 2 of them in the chain. Maybe with proper expensive active ones it's a bliss. Definitely want to know your results when you had the opportunity to test
pete.young Posted Tuesday at 15:38 Share Posted Tuesday at 15:38 Bright Onion make a 3-way amp splitter. Palmer used to make one too but I can't seem to find it any more. Seems like a lot of trouble to go to given that most audiences won't be able to hear the difference.

I'll do a research, I'm the only audience by the way.
Woodinblack Posted Tuesday at 16:00 Share Posted Tuesday at 16:00 Of course you can, it is just a switch, you can put 10 of them together if you want, all it does is switch between y<->a or y<->b - it makes no difference what is at the other end of it. So if you want y<-> a and y<->by<->ba y<->by<->bb that will work just fine
fretmeister Posted Tuesday at 16:57 Share Posted Tuesday at 16:57 Of course - I used to use a pair of Boss LS-2 for my set up and make sure they were next to each other on my board so I could hit them both at the same time if needed. It's a great idea to get some paper and draw out your signal chain - makes the wiring up process a lot easier.
