Interesting JPP Arrangement

Spotted this on Facebook earlier. Interesting Stereo P bass with double P and J pickups

Looks like there could be more going on under the J pickup. For anyone who isn't on Facebook - this is it in all it's glory:

Looks as if the J pickup has an earth strap running to the loom (or it might have all the wiring there).  I'd definitely want to be asking about that.  

I'll guess the headstock has been bodged after an accident.   Though given the tuners, that might be deliberate?

Shades of MDP? Although the neck and bridge are still in the original positions.

That wonky tuner and the asymmetry of the headstock end is the reason I suspect an accident.
