I'd always have a fear that if this thing has sat for 25 years completely untouched and unplayed that the fingerboard wood might dry out. I have no experience of an untouched 25 year old bass upon which to base that observation but I have picked up the odd bass that has been left unloved for a year or two and the fingerboards can have suffered due to the lack of care or even just oil from your fingers/hands!
