gallowayphantom Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Got a Harley Benton CLU Bass ukulele and looking to swap out the strings, but there no access via the back. I’m guessing going to have to feed them through the bridge, catch it in the body pull through tie knot and pull back Quote

Don’t forget ( assuming you’re using rubber/ plastic strings like Aquila ) to allow for plenty of ‘settling in’ - they take ages before they stabilise IME. 1 Quote

I have to get help from my daughter because she does not have hands like spades. 1 Quote

Downunderwonder Posted Wednesday at 22:45 Posted Wednesday at 22:45 On my Kala I feed twine through from the bridge and catch that inside, tape it to the string and pull it back through. The strings are already equipped with ferrules. The Kala access plate makes it easier but if doing it via the sound hole it would be 10x easier still, and using the ferrules rather than relying on knots. 1 Quote
