Hope this needs to be here, rather than the Effects forum.

i’ve always been a head/cab or combo player. However, our band DI’s everything through the PA, so my cab is little more than a monitor.

They use IEM, I’m not there yet…..

I’m in need of a backup amp, and stated to look outside the box. I was very taken with the Origin Effects Bass Rig 64.

My idea was to use that instead of an amp, into the PA direct, and then maybe run myself a monitor. So all I’d carry would be pedal and monitor.

I’ve been digging online, and TBH, I’m foxed…..I know very little about PA’s and the like, and if my idea is even workable……I’ve read than many monitors lack bass power……

I guess my question is how, and if……and if so, how and into what again! I guess that such a pedal would still work as an in-case my amp failed? So still kind of a backup?

Hope this all makes some kind of sense……if I can lose the old amp/cab idea, and go more 21st century? 🤟🤞
