Real World difference

Regular gigging player:

Using  Genz Benz 9.0 as ‘power amp’ through Vanderkley MNT210 and EXT112.

 

Always goes through decent PA as well.

Nowhere near running out of guts.

 

Want to just take one cab to all gigs. 
Have already done most usual venues with just the 210 without a problem.

I realise the added 112 will/does make a difference, but is just turning up the 210 on bigger stages gonna be as near as damn it good enough?

There will be a physics answer, but it’s the real world answer I probably would need.

 

Yes I could sell both and get a single mega cab…. But

I’m sure it will be loud enough, but the depth of the sound will more than likely not be as full. Whether or not that makes any difference to you and your enjoyment of the gig, well that’s up to you, but you have the PA to handle the audience, utilise the monitors for more on stage sound and travel light.

Well, if you have a PA, why do you need that much? I run mine into a BAM200 and a 10" gnome cab at about half volume, just to have some bass on stage for the others to hear, not for me, I am in ears and through the PA.

If you take a small stand the 210 should be plenty.

 

The only time it wouldn't would be a big stage big gig that was short of its own monitoring. If that were to occur you could set up next to the drummer and get by.
