jonno1981 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 It was a great holiday though. 52 danish krona for a one scoop ice cream in legoland. Ah joy. I picked up a few key rings as souvenirs, couldn’t afford anything else! The shop was worth a walk around. They had pretty much the whole catalogue to pick from. Lego house was the surprise, we loved it more than legoland. Just loads to do and plenty of nostalgia for the stuff I bought when I was growing up. 1 Quote
itu Posted April 21 Posted April 21 What was missing from Billund, was the historical view to LEGO. I happened to visit https://www.leksaksmuseet.se/ in Sweden, Stockholm (maybe 10 years ago). There were lots of old boxes and sets from maybe 60's and 70's. That was closer to the original idea of toys you can build and break and build again. Modern boxes look like collector's items. 1 Quote
jonno1981 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 There is a whole history section at Lego house in the basement. There is a section where you can view the complete catalogue year by year and select the models that you owned. I spent ages there! The room has loads of displays of the vintage sets. I agree that the new models aren’t quite as versatile as the originals, they’re still fun to build! Quote
bass_dinger Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Lego will have a shock when they put it into production, only to find out that all the votes came from poor musicians who are saving up for the real thing, or were bassists, or are waiting for Behringer to create a homage to the original instrument. Maybe Behringer should do the same and put a list of synths on their web page and we can vote on which one they rip off..oops.... sorry...'create a homage to' next. 😆 Quote

I guess Lego are fully aware of how these things work, BUT since they could be bothered to post it, maybe they are indeed willing to put it out - provided most parts are standard and don't require new molds to be made. Maybe every part must be standard; I don't know how expensive molds are these days. If they do, then I gather only massive sales will see another model later - - though I think the model pool is very tiny indeed. As to the "homage", I didn't understand your post. Did you mean the Behringer Model D or a possible future homage that is more its own thing? Quote
