cannongeorge Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) Hi all, I bought this bass off someone else in Jan 2020, I've used it 3 or 4 times since, not at a gig. 5 strings Passive electronics - VVT dials 34" scale Steinberger system hardware on the bridge and 'headstock' 2 humbuckers Rosewood fretboard Strung with Labella double ball flatwounds It can apparently take single ball strings, however it requires an adapter that is sold separately Sounds remarkably like a double bass when played near the neck! Only selling as I don't play it anywhere near enough and need to clear some space. This is an instrument that is around 37 years old, and has some dings and scratches. I've done my best to photograph this, but just in case: There's a ding in the neck near the 4/5th fret - about 5mm long There is a longer scratch on the body. The pickups have some string wear on them from the previous round wounds on the bass. It looks like there was a second strap pin on the lower bottom horn which has since been removed? Not sure if this is stock. The serial number sticker underneath the bridge is off-angle but secure. Serial number dates it to 1987. I'll include a Warwick gig bag that is reasonably padded as well. There is a thinner case I can include that came with the instrument too If you are interested I can send links to how it sounds in a band context I'm much more interested in trades to see what is out there! Trade wise I'm open, special attention for: PJ, fretless, short scale, 5 strings, bass VI. If applicable I can put cash along with it too. I'd rather do a meetup in person on this one. Based near Todmorden/Burnley, however can travel and can get the train. Edited Monday at 14:17 by cannongeorge Price drop 5 Quote
