For sale my Japanese ‘62 reissue Jazz Bass in Olympic White. Made in 2004/5 according to the serial number (I had it for 10 years now). Great condition for a 20 years old bass with just a couple of small marks.

I’ve upgraded it with Nordstrand NJ4 (60s era / 7.25” radius) pickups (best pups known to mankind 🤪) which immensely improved the sound. I’ve also installed John East J-Retro preamp. Those upgrades are reflected in the price. The original control plate included. If you’re not a fan of active preamps I’m happy to reinstall the original plate and lower the overall price by £100.

I’m based in London, E5

I’m not looking for a swap except one very specific bass - Fender American Standard Jaguar. Message me if you’ve got one of these 😉

As planned I’ve removed J-Retro preamp and replaced it with the original passive plate.
Nordstrand NJ4 pickups still in of course 😉
Price reduced.
£950 now

Nice Bass mate,

Forgive my ignorance, but why the visible (ground?) wire to the bridge?

In the early days of Fender, the bridge wire would be covered by the metal bridge cover that all Jazzes were issued with. When Fender realised most people removed the bridge cover, a tunnel was drilled from the control cavity to the bridge so that the wire was hidden. This bass is a reissue of a 62 Jazz, so to be true to the original the wire is exposed.

Thank you for so eloquently answering Jaybeevee’s question 🙏🏻
