BassAgent Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Not too many, only two: First series JV, bought for an absolute bargain (75 euros), sold for a lot more, still regret it. I know the current owner but he won't sell it back to me. The Skarbee bass. Excellent. 1 Quote

LeftyJ Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Mr Bassman "No Sweat" by Siggi Jäger of Human Base. Mr Bassman was a bass store in Hamburg, Germany (I think) that had a few German luthiers craft basses for them under their shop's name. Some were made by Human Base and some by Clover (based on the Slapper, with a graphite neck). I wasn't ready to appreciate this bass when I had it some 15-20 years ago. It was beautifully made and had some interesting tones, but it was too hifi for me at the time and I found the 2-band EQ limiting. I would love to have it back but I have no idea where it is or who I sold it to. Quote
obbm Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) This one. My workhorse for about 10 years and I miss it. Where are you now? Please come home. . Edited January 14 by obbm 2 Quote
jazzyvee Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Well i may have a buyer for my Alembic Europa 5 string which i have had since 2005, and will definitely regret it. Quote
MichaelDean Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I kinda miss my first 5er, my SBMM SUB 5. It wasn't too heavy, very comfortable neck, I'd put a Retrovibe stinger preamp in it so it sounded great, the tuners held just fine. I played it a lot in my hip hop covers band but it got marching orders when my Dingwall arrived. I think I prefer the 5 string stingray body/scratch plate to the 4 string one too 🙊 Quote

Yeah the neck was incredible. I just didn't get on with the 70s pickup spacing. Otherwise it would still live in my house Quote
jensenmann Posted Saturday at 18:21 Posted Saturday at 18:21 I ran into a metallic green Gibson Thunderbird IV back in the 90s. It was from 1966 with a custom colour. That´s the only bass I regret selling. It paid me a Wal Mk3 fretless 6 String. Later on I traded the Wal for another Wal which I traded for another Wal which I still own. This final Mk2 5string is my favorite fretless ever. So the Thunderbird sale somehow came to a happy end. But I still miss it. Quote
