Quatschmacher Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) Hi folks, I have put wanted ads up for some of these things but was wondering if there’s anyone who might be willing to loan me any of the following pedals for a few days. I’m more than happy to reciprocate with loans of a few interesting pedals I have or to cover all postage in the case that I have nothing that interests you. I have already had some great experiences doing this from a couple of very kind BC members. I’ve also been loaning out my Artifakt to a list of people for the past few months as a way for them to try one out with having to stump up big sums. Thanks in anticipation. The things I’d like to try are: Aguilar Tonehammer v2 Markbass Vintage Pre Arkham Oracle Noble Audio Kitchen Fake Plastic Trees Chase Bliss/ZVEX Bliss Factory Warm Audio Pedal76 Origin DCX Bass (Origin Bass Compressor - sorted) (Origin BassRig Super Vintage - sorted) (Shift Line Olympic MKIIIS - sorted) (Jad Freer Capo - sorted) (Sushibox Grand Slampegg - sorted) Edited February 7 by Quatschmacher 3 Quote

Quatschmacher Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 A few more down due to a combination of loans and purchases. Quote
Quatschmacher Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 I think I’ll probably take a bit of a break from doing this for a bit as I’ve got through most of the ones I wanted to try most. Would still love to try a Grand Slampegg if possible though. Quote
Quatschmacher Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 Another Basschat win - kindly getting a loan of the GS for a bit. Such a great community! Quote
bobbass4k Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I have a sushi box DIY clone of the noble if that's of any interest? Quote

Expand The Nobellium - don't know how true it is to the original but sounds pretty good to my ears. Not used it in a while so let me fire it up tonight and give it a check. Quote

thebob Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Hey Quatschmacher could you tell me anything about how the shift line olympic and the Grand Slampegg compare ? I got the olympic /as well as the Capo as a reference but that's a differetn beast) and I enjoy to me it distorsts too esily / too much when I fee it with compressed bussy fat tone ith fuzz overtones. hence I'm very intringued by the Slampegg spec and its tube. thanks for any feedback ! Expand Slampegg doesn’t break up much unless you push the front end hard. I set my Olympic gain really low. I wonder if would be possible to put a 12AU7 in it instead for much lower gain. Quote

(my bank account makes it less so) Would you say that it performs equally in shaping a nice tone and providing nice tube compression & harmonics ? I thought the same about the olympic and 12AU7, but I keep reading the guy from shift line advises against it (and that in th mkIIIs I have it is a difficult operation; very tiny real estate and I'm not very handy when it comes to this) Quote
