jay42 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Hi folks I've literally just taken delivery of the Trace Elliot TE1200 but I cannot work out for the life of me how to attach the rack ears!! I can't find anything online so I'm hoping you knowledgeable people could help a bass brother? Jay Quote
Mudpup Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Looks like they just screw into the sides don't they? Quote
KingBollock Posted January 14 Posted January 14 (edited) It looks like it takes three screws and the ears sit flush against a flat side, then scoop forward. So, I wonder if the V vented side panel needs to be removed to reveal the extra screw hole? Edited January 14 by KingBollock Quote
jay42 Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Yes, the sides are kind of pitched if you know what I mean and it's not a flat surface. Also, there's only 2 tiny screws provided which obviously won't do it! The chassis is solid metal and other than taking it apart which is something I don't want to do, I'm stumped! Quote
KingBollock Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I imagine that if you were to remove the side, an extra screw hole would be revealed. When installing the ears, you would reuse the screws you have just removed, and also the two (one for each side) that come extra. You wouldn’t see the shaped side panel if racked anyway, so there’d be no need for them. Quote
JazzyJ Posted January 14 Posted January 14 There you go. The side panel doesn't get refitted. 1 Quote
jay42 Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 (edited) Ah that's brilliant, thank you so much! I'll give it a try... Edited January 14 by jay42 Quote
