Identification appreciated on an “Azumi” 70s P bass!

I was asking about this over on talkbass and was advised in particular to seek the help of one “Bassassin” who could help me out… if you’re out there, or if you’re someone else who’s seen this before, hello! Any ideas? This is up on eBay at the moment for just under £200.

Most likely 70s/80s Japanese Fujigen who made instruments for various brands.

That's pretty cool, 1980-ish, original-ish design. I don't know much confirmed info about the brand but this will be typical nice quality & if it stays around £200, a decent price for an unusual bass.

 

I don't think these were Fujigen - possibly Chushin Gakki, & I think there's even been some speculation they came from Kiso Suzuki.

The man himself! Yeah it’s been really interesting to see that not much is out there about this brand… it’s a very tempting purchase for me, might see if I can sneak in a deal for £150.. thanks very very much!
