Can't lower strings

I'm trying to lower the string action on my Harley Benton mp4-eb but I'm having no luck at all.

 

I've set the neck etc but the string height just won't change. I've gone clockwise and counter clockwise and nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Counter clockwise should lower the saddles. Check that they aren't already bottomed out. Try and add a picture taken looking under the front of the saddles if you can...

I have the same bridge. I just removed the locking bolts altogether. They are pointless as the bridge saddles are very stable without them.

Think, it’s a bit strange to use locking bolts with strings through body, isn’t.

Strings through body doesn't factor with bridge locking screws.  It used to be that bridge screws were generally slightly larger dia and had less tolerance than modern bridges; as such the bridge height screws 'could' (not always) vibrate and lower of their own accord.  Several manufacturers cured this by adding this locking screw.  However, it was a fix to a problem that not all bridges suffered and often you can just take them out... I've often forgotten to tighten them on some of my basses and I only notice several years later when I go to adjust the bridge!

Been there, done that.  The G&L bridge has a single locking screw on the side which pushes all the saddles together and yes I have forgotten to loosen it before attempting to make changes to the setup.  Which makes it quite a difficult time until you realise, yes

Actually. My bass is not string thru. You can have either with this bridge.
