Ibanez BTB 400QM - £295 - York, UK

Hi, thanks for looking. I'm selling my Ibanez BTB 400 as it gets the least use out of my current crop of basses I've got my eye on something else.

Here is the Ibanez wiki page which has the specs for this model: https://ibanez.fandom.com/wiki/BTB400QM

Made in Korea circa 2004. Four string BTBs are pretty scarce, I see mostly 5s and 6s out there from this era. So this could be a good choice if you're looking for an active bass with wider string spacing.

Overall cosmetic condition is very good with general light scratching to the finish as you would expect from a 21 year old instrument (hard to photograph). The hardware is satin finish and has a light patina developing.

Electronics are in good functional condition with the odd crackle on the mid sweep.

On a close inspection I've found three notable defects worth mentioning:

1. The A string tuner is operational and holds tune but is a little stiff. The nylon ring is cracked and will need eventual replacement. I've had this same issue on another BTB I owned in the past.

2. There is some paint / scuffing on the top of the headstock. I've tried to remove this with naptha but no luck.

3. There is a hairline crack underneath the reverse of the G string tuner. This hasn't caused me any issues.

Weight is 4.2kg according to my bathroom scales, so take that as approximate.

Collection from YO24 preferred, with cash or bank transfer. I'm over in the BD24 area pretty often so could potentially deliver that way.

Happy to consider offers if you disagree with my pricing. Any questions or discussion go ahead.
