My latest order was placed last Friday afternoon. (Simple stuff like strings.) I received the sent notification the same day, delivery due tomorrow (Tuesday). I’m in the EU though, so no customs.

I bought a whole bunch of XLR cables for a recording project back in May. It took about a week and a half which I thought was reasonable. Customs checks took an age but that isn't Thomann's problem. 

If I need something really quickly, I go for a UK supplier. I generally go for Thomann for buying their in-house cables/accessories which I think are really good value for money.

I found what had happened; I appear to have two accounts and was logged into the other one (which is an alias of my usual email address). I probably created the second one a while ago and forgot about it.
All the items are in stock but the order hasn't been processed yet (placed on the 15th).

Bizarrely it seems me posting this prompted some action!

My order is suddenly scheduled for delivery this afternoon!

 

Let's see what happens.

My most recent Thomann purchase (Sadowsky MetroExpress Hybrid 5 fretless) I ordered on November 25th, I got a shipping notice from Thomann the next day (with UPS, not DHL. I wasn't given a choice during the ordering process) and it was in my hands on the 27th. I have to add I'm in the Netherlands, so within the EU. Therefore Customs wasn't involved. I paid with my credit card, I don't know if that affects the speed.

Ive ordered a few things recently, as others have said, there is a back hole in the tracking where the item sits at customs. I do find I still get the items within 4 days, depending when I order. I do try and order on a Monday so I get the time that week. Weekend orders seem to take an extra day.

Yes I did for a recommended Cable, made in Swiss , but not everything is bought I got an acoustic bass from Guitar Guitar ,also I m lucky enough to work not far from Danemark st so I go to Wunjo ..

I hate the tracking black hole too, it's like your package is going round the back of the moon in Apollo 13.

I'm in Germany and had an order disappear for a few days. I called Thomann - the guy was super helpful and said that all he could do was make a complaint with DHL. Once Tomann have  handed it over to DHL, other than registering a complaint, they have no influence over matters. He said that he would register the complaint, and that if I hadn't received anything within 2-3 days, Thomann would ship it again.

DHL are.... well, DHL... die hard losers, perhaps?

 

I placed another order with Thomann this week and exactly the same thing with DHL has happened - the same standard email

"Unfortunately it was not possible to deliver the shipment today. Possible reasons: termination of the delivery tour due to illness, accident, exceeding working hours. We will try the next working day."

 

Let's see how long it takes before I hear from them.

Again, this is no reflection on Thomann, it's those f@ckers at DHL.
