Just seen one of these has just sold on here. I quite like the idea of getting one!

 

Quick question though.. can a booster pedal be used at its input to give a warm valvey compressed overdrive?

 

Any thoughts? Would I just blow it up?!

The LA1A is on my wish list (Would love a Doc Lloyd DLA2A but that is firmly out of my price range!

I found one on Reverb with the dearer Brimars in, so went for it!

Nice one! I'm more after for it's tone sweetening properties over compression, but would be good to hear some more real world bass samples.
