I play a couple of places on a regular basis, and they both make the black hole of Calcutta look like a Christmas Tree.

Can't see my hand in front of my face. Now as I'm reading for most of the gig it's not the end of the world but I do need to check my hand position now and then.

So this is my solution.

It's a rechargeable light intended for reading but fits rather neatly on my strap.

I always ask the lighting guy to never have total darkness on stage.

Since I started making this request I’ve not had a problem,

My venues are less salubrious...

Some people, don't know they are born. We have enough trouble trying to get them to turn the normal lights off, a couple of places we have to unscrew the bulbs!
