stewblack Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I play a couple of places on a regular basis, and they both make the black hole of Calcutta look like a Christmas Tree. Can't see my hand in front of my face. Now as I'm reading for most of the gig it's not the end of the world but I do need to check my hand position now and then. So this is my solution. It's a rechargeable light intended for reading but fits rather neatly on my strap. This be the link. https://amzn.eu/d/bJPITDq 3 Quote
Twigman Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I always ask the lighting guy to never have total darkness on stage. Since I started making this request I’ve not had a problem, 1 Quote

Woodinblack Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Some people, don't know they are born. We have enough trouble trying to get them to turn the normal lights off, a couple of places we have to unscrew the bulbs! 1 Quote
Man.about.Tyne Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I have one of these and never thought to use it for this. But I will. Also ideal for finding your way to the loo in hotel rooms without blinding her indoors. 1 Quote
fretmeister Posted January 24 Posted January 24 That's a neat idea. I'm just disappointed the pink hair isn't real. 2 Quote
fretmeister Posted January 24 Posted January 24 How do you mount it on the strap? Does the light unit unscrew from the goose neck clip? Quote

Sorry I missed this. I used the clip on the underside of my strap so it's hidden. Added a cable tie just for my peace of mind. 1 Quote
