Looks a quite convincing site - is it AI or BS? 🤔😆

Yeah, these are real according to the interwebs. You mean to say you're not in the market for a TRUM-P-bass?

Actually, I did contact Fender in the mid 90's to see if they were going to issue a Clinton Jizz bass, but I never got a reply.  Close, but no cigar.......

All of the guitars featured on GetTrumpGuitars.com were custom designed and developed by a Veteran owned company with the help of a master luthier.  These guitars have been manufactured by multiple providers and include parts/features that are both domestic and international.  This is standard with most guitar manufacturers.

So, a new Fender tjat isn't even a relabeled Squier Classic Vibe, merely an Affinty bass with the cheaper ceramic pickups instead of the alnico pickups in the CVs. I'm guessing cheaper pots, tuners, etc.
Hats off to Fender for charging $600 for a bass that's worth half that, though.
Great marketing strategy, right up there with Jackson for duping people into buying the Concert X bass.🤔

They'll get away with it. Some people HAVE to have that F word on the headstock.

Definitely, I just hope these are of decent quality as there are some excellent basses around that cost less, if they’re no good Fender might well be shooting themselves in the foot. It took them years to get away from the dubious 70s reputation, but not much competition back then, I think back to my Vintage Tony Butler Precision, a whole load of bass for still under £500, this - and Sire - is what they’re up against now.

And look at the prices of 70s Fenders now. Part romanticism maybe 🤔

It’s real.

Those photos really don't look real to me at all. The acoustic guitar appears to be bent, it's exactly the same picture of the orange idiot reused in both images. And anyone stupid enough to buy one would not have access to $10k+

I think one of the photos may be real and the other photoshopped to save having to take two photos, but the guitars definitely are real. There are reviews of them on YouTube.

I wouldn't mind paying 549 for a “real” fender

And that's really it.

We can say they are underwhelming or there are "better" alternatives for the same or less money but branding is king and these will sell for the above reason.

You can get a used Highway One for about £700 when they come up for sale, that's a proper USA Fender.

Depending who you ask there hasn't been a proper Fender since Leo sold the company to CBS. Not necessarily my view btw.

These are Mexican made and finished in the USA. Highway One runs between the two countries. The made in USA sticker doesn't mean all parts were made there. Just so we're all clear on that. It doesn't mean they're not good,I'm just saying not be overly seduced by the USA label 😊👍

On the downside you’d end up with a bass that would be the same sort of quality as a 449 Squier, the upside would be that you can always sell it for decent money because it’s a “proper” Fender. In that light it’s not a bad purchase.

Given the current situation, I might choose MIM for ethical reasons...
