A super low (almost silly) price and a real bargain. Almost a give away. This is a genuine lovely instrument. It comes with a near new gig bag too.

Hopefully the photos show how nice this bass is. It has a Bloodstone wiring loom.

There is a scratch on the neck that was there when it arrived and the neck has been refinished with Tru Oil to both try to hide the scratch (partly successful) and give the neck a better look and finish (totally successful).

New Rotosound Swing 66 nickels just fitted too.

It's quite light, an accurate 8.4lb.

Also comes with a custom UK made Tiny Tone pick guard as shown and a pair of extra small screws where a different surface mount pickup was previously fitted.

Selling as I have at least one bass too many and 4 of them are P basses.

I can ship within the UK at cost in the gig bag surrounded by a cardboard box.

Collection and look see/noodle in Kendal is very welcome.

I've been around BC and it's precursor forever with lots of good feedback.

Trades? Anything considered although I have a surfeit of basses and amps.

Peter

I would, but gear abstinence aside, you probably know that I already have one!  Which means that I am qualified to say that these are amazing basses, well, mine at least.  Probably the best '51/'54 P bass you can buy at this price.  Lovely neck with a generous roll on the edges and the stock pickup sounds great - its mid focus makes it a great live bass.

Go on, you know you want it :D

So exactly the same shape, I guess “no extra holes” should have been my question

No, the exact same one. The two small screws may be causing the confusion. As I say in the description I originally had a surface mounted pickup fitted, a Curtis Novak gold foil.

No I understood you, just wasn’t sure if had never had a guard, or that the original was differently shaped

Good for you Geek, I’ve never played a sire but I’ve heard good things and it looks great, hope it works out for you

Phew! I was starting to contemplate a drive over the border (I just don’t need another bass - I know, need).
