Has anyone used a Trac3 Elliot Elf head with a Warwick gnome 2x10 4 ohm cab?

Hi. 
 

I’m returning to the bass after a long break fronting an originals band on guitar, to form a covers band playing funk blues and reggae. 
 

my trace Elliot elf head is literally turning up today (I’m gazing out my kitchen window waiting for the DPD driver as I type) and I’m planning to get a cab next week. 
 

As I understand the 1x10 Elf cab is 8 ohms, meaning I’ll only get 130 watts out of it. So my plan is either to buy a second 10” elf cab when funds permit to achieve the advertised 200 watts, OR save myself a heap of cash and buy the 4 ohm 2x10 gnome.

 

i was wondering if anyone had tried pairing the elf head with a gnome speaker and had any experiences (good or bad) they could pass on before I Add either to my basket? On paper it seems the gnome option is good. But it’s a lot of money to spend if it doesn5 work out. 
 

I’m looking for a clean, punchy sound with a bit of that old school trace Elliot compression.
