andyonbass Posted Saturday at 19:35 Posted Saturday at 19:35 Here's my Ibanez SRMD205 Mezzo. It's been given the vinyl wrap treatment. Happy with how it's turned out visually but now, when I plug the transmitter of my WAZA Air Bass into the jack, it sounds like an industrial steam hammer! A constant repetitive loud banging sound through the headphones irrespective of whether the strings or audio is being played. It worked perfectly before the wrap and works perfectly when connected with a cable to my amp or Korg Pandora. The WAZA works perfectly with all my other basses, active or passive. I've changed the battery of the bass as a matter of course and poked around the wiring in the cavity to no avail. I can only assume the Vinyl wrap must have some kind of RF shielding capability or something... Have a listen..... Waza.m4a Any thoughts? 2 Quote
Hellzero Posted Saturday at 22:52 Posted Saturday at 22:52 This is the typical sound of a PWM power supply. I guess when putting it back together, the negative of the battery and the ground have been reversed on the output jack of your bass. 1 Quote

Wouldn't it still happen when connected with a cable as well though? Edited Sunday at 11:56 by andyonbass Quote

Attempting to get my head around the manual! By using the adapter pictured below, it works perfectly, does that confirm the two wires on the output jack are reversed? Quote
Hellzero Posted Sunday at 14:09 Posted Sunday at 14:09 It totally confirms it @andyonbass. I was about to suggest you to use this trick, but we have a family lunch right now, so was asked to be ... present. 😉 Quote
