Refinishing Japanese Sadowsky Metro

Hi all! Recently picked up this wonderful bass on here.

 

 

With the unusual pickup arrangement, I think I’d like to compliment it with a slightly more interesting finish than sunburst. Nothing TOO outlandish, something subtle but still eye catching (oxymoron, I know).

 

A lot of the colours I like (pastel shades, sea foam green, daphne blue etc) I think look better with a darker fingerboard like rosewood or ebony, so I think a darker body colour might be nice to contrast/compliment the maple fingerboard on this particular bass. Having said that, i’d welcome any and all suggestions!

On to my second question - anyone have any suggestions/experience/recommendations on who I can get to do said refin?
