From the clips up on YouTube from recent gigs poor Bruce doesn’t look in good shape at all, even his playing seems a tad laboured and lacking intensity.

Aye, quite reliant on the other bass player standing behind ‘Paul Wellers’ amp. He didn’t play everything but you could see him picking up bits. Plus shaking a tambourine with the left hand and fretting with the right.

Was all a bit sad. I can totally understand that Bruce has spent his life on stage so must be very hard to stop.

I can see that, maybe both share a Chris Squire/John Entwistle influence despite their music being quite different. And known for using Ricks early on, of course.

 

I was definitely a Foxton fan in my early days, Tube Station was an excellent challenge when I was starting out.
