That's interesting. I've never thought about it this way.

What I meant earlier is rather to have basses strung with flats and rounds. It'd be a perfect excuse to buy one more bass ;)

I bet there's a double neck bass somewhere with flats on one and rounds on t'other... and if there isn't... you ALL witnessed MY idea here... innit.

Brothers in Bass

I'm glad I found BASSCHAT

The way I see is this:

bumper stickers about your affiliations invite discord and arguments. If you keep your views to yourself (bumper stickers fairly rare here) no one is going to find a fast reason to disagree or dislike you.
I view stating my politics as being exactly like driving around in a car with a pro-Harris /pro trump sticker on it. Keep it for the ballot box on election day.

@Bass4real

we are fairly free to speak here, but the forum rules are “no politics” and I think that’s a good thing. Save your keyboard energy for discussing bass and criticising guitarists (EDIT) is my general view

I don't do social media , of course I'm aware of  Instagram , tiktok , Facebook , X .

I do watch YouTube ,   BASSCHAT is the only site I've joined .

I'm A Bass player always and forever

Criticizing guitarists is fun , even more fun being a BASS PLAYER that  plays better guitar than them.

Not all of them of course

There's more incredible guitar players now than ever before.

isnt that both subjective and objective ?

Have a good one

C.C.

I remember our old manager (RIP Mikey!) had an ancient 2CV which he'd painted fluorescent cherubs and angels on any inside surface with a uv lamp so they'd glow as he was driving along.

His bumper sticker said "I only brake for Bongwater".

I didn't know he was still with us

Is he ?

Dunno.  Don't you?  I know he was seriously ill.  I would say that he's probably wanting his privacy if he is.

Crikey, what an industry Hollywood is.  So many folk falling down due to pressures that few others would have experienced in a whole lifetime.

In basschat.co.uk, people are so relaxed that they sometimes don't even complain when others misattribute quotes to them.

But they will mention it. It looks like in your post above, you have over-typed your own words into the field where my words were.  Not a problem - certainly not here, in this rather silly and jokey thread. Really, I don't mind.

However, it may be a problem with the basschat software, that allows users to amend what they are quoting.
